Change Course To Stay On Course

Life is continually changing; and with change comes growth.

Throughout the course of your life, the one thing that is constant is CHANGE!

Every human has been given a specific course that they are to fulfill. The fulfillment of this course is dependent on your willingness to yield to Gods plan for your life.

We must know that we do have a course that we have been assigned to by God.

When we come out of our mother’s womb, we do not automatically begin to sin or disobey; we had to learn to disobey.

Once this is established in our minds, we begin to operate according to the course of this world.

Course implies the way something functions.

Lets read some scriptures regarding the word “course”:

Ephesians 2:2 (KJV)
2  Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience.

Remember, we did not automatically obey the voice of the prince of the power of the air; we needed to change our minds from innocence to disobedience.

This course takes place by the words that we speak out of our mouths. Proverb 18:21 says that death and life are in the power of the tongue.

With our words we control how we operate in this earth realm. We either operate according to the course of this world, or the course that God has set out for us to operate in before we were even born.

James 3:6 (KJV)
6  And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.

James gives us the principle of confession. Confession is Gods method for man to operate within the earth. Without confession or the tongue, nothing will take place.

Unfortunately, if we are not informed through the word of God what our assignment is here in earth, the Devil will see to it that you are distracted from fulfilling what God has designed for you, specifically.

2 Thessalonians 3:1 (KJV)
1  Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you.

Once the word of the Lord has free course in our lives, we will experience a freedom to fulfill the course God has designed for us.

Paul made a very powerful statement in 2 Timothy:

2 Timothy 4:7 (KJV)
7  I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.

This is a very powerful statement because it states first that Paul knew what his assignment was, and second, he finished his assignment.

How many of us begin something, but sometimes not finish it? Paul finished his course; he fulfilled what the Lord had assigned for him to do.

Now that is saying something! He fulfilled or completed his course while here in this earth realm.

When you fulfill what you are called to do, you will experience fulfillment in life.

Every course has seasons and seasons change. This is where mid-course corrections may need to be done for you to fulfill your assignment.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 (KJV)
1  To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.

Seasons change; it is true of weather, and it is true of life. Notice that every season has “a time”. We have a specific amount of time to make the necessary changes toward our assignment or purpose.

Many of us have heard of the formula for success: preparation + opportunity = success

Opportunity will only benefit you if you have had prior preparation time for the time of opportunity.

Also, notice that Ecclesiastes 3:1 states that “EVERYTHING” has a season and a time for the season to be engaged.

If you have not prepared for that season, opportunity will bypass you. This will require a constant awareness for change.

Change is the process of life, without change, there will be no progress.
