CLEAR DIRECTION

Ignorance is one of the greatest enemies of productivity. If you do not know where you have been, you will not know where you are going.

Hosea 4:6 (KJV)
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

How important is it to have the knowledge to function in life; and more importantly, the life of God. In this day and age, the knowledge of God is well known be many people. But, this is not the issue in our day. The issue is that people are rejecting the knowledge of God.

The impact of the rejection of Gods way of living would negatively affect their children. The lack of knowledge will be filled with actions that will amuse their minds from the plan of God. When you read the context of this verse, you see that the children of Israel were engaging with actions that would open the door for the curse.

There are so many things that the Devil desires to entertain our minds with; amusements that will cloud our minds from the plan of God for our lives.

Ignorance will not only affect you, but also your seed.

Anything we do in life must be done on purpose if we are going to positively affect the lives of our children.

Once we have the vision God has placed in us alerted to our souls or minds, it is our responsibility to establish a plan of action to fulfill it.

Most people are looking for the plan of God outside of themselves, not realizing that from the birth, the plan of God was placed in you.

Habakkuk 2:2-4 (KJV)
And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.

For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.

You will not go until you have a written plan of action.

The word “write” means describe, inscribe, prescribe, subscribe.

Notice the process of fulfilling the vision God placed in you.  You first must describe your vision. If you cannot describe your vision in written form, you will not run with it. Once you describe your vision, you must inscribe, then you can prescribe so as to subscribe the vision that God has placed in you.

Every race has a starting point. Every race must have a plan of attack or plan of action. This is important because we are not in a sprint but a marathon. Knowing that we are in a marathon, we then must have a plan of action in order to finish the race.

1 Corinthians 9:24 (KJV)
Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.

The one who receives the prize is the one who “first sits” down before entering the race and counts the cost, or have a plan of action.

1 Corinthians 9:26 (KJV)
I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:

Beating the air implies that there was no plan of action to fulfill the vision. Just because you swing your hands in the air, does not mean that you are connecting with what God desires you to fulfill. When you have no plan of action to execute what God has place in you; your vision and purpose in life; you will experience loss in life.

Proverbs 19:21 (KJV)
There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand.

The New King James Version states, “There are many plans in a man’s heart…” which means that you must have plans in your mind for the counsel of God to direct. We must have a plan of action written for God to bless. If there is not plan of action written, the Holy Spirit does not have anything to confirm.

Mark 16:20 (KJV)
And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

God can only confirm His word. This word is the vision of God. The power of that vision will only be known when a plan of action is written out.

Luke 14:28-30 (KJV)
For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?

Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him,

Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.

Jesus said that before you do anything, you first must “sit” and write out your plan of action.

Sitting means that before you take the first step in running with the vision, you must write out a plan of action. This can only be done once you have clear direction as to how you will obtain the prize.

Any unplanned thought or idea is merely a dream.

Faith makes dreams come true. Unplanned faith will end in shipwreck.

1 Timothy 1:19 (KJV)
Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck.

Every course in life must have a compass. Planning is the compass for your faith. Faith comes by hearing a plan, and by hearing it continuously.

This concept is taken from Romans 10:17 (KJV)
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

It requires our constant attention to the written plan for us to fulfill the vision. No plan comes without opposition. In any race, you will have to endure to the end. What keeps us on track is having a written plan of action.

Write the vision and make it plain on tablets or paper, that he may run who reads it. Having a written plan of action will keep you focused on the fulfillment of your vision.
